Areas of expertise

HBSP plays an important role in coordinating academic research and collaboration between companies. HBSP helps in commercializing innovations generated in the academic research through the incubator activities, and promotes the start-up of new companies. HBSP collaborates closely with the University of Helsinki.

Business sector and focus areas

The HBSP operation is concentrated in the biotechnology and medical campus areas of the University of Helsinki, the Viikki biocampus, and the medical campus of Meilahti. The collaboration with Kumpula natural science campus will be increased in the future.
