Business facilities

Helsinki Business and Science Park Oy Ltd (HBSP) provides business facilities and incubator services for companies in the biotechnology, drug development, health service technology, environment technology, and food technology businesses.

Viikki biocampus 

Viikki biocampus has been recognized as one of the most important biocentres in Europe, and includes many top research units that are part of the University of Helsinki. Viikki campus provides a diverse research and specialist network for a fast utilization of the newest technologies as well as business know-how.

In Viikki, two HBSP business incubator buildings provide an operational environment that meets the special requirements of the bio-sector, as well as a foundation for growth for companies that are starting up their businesses. The business incubators provide business facilities and services primarily for new companies in the biotechnology, drug development, health service technology, environment technology, and food technology business areas.

 
The operation of the new companies is largely based on laboratory activities, and our business incubators offer excellent facilities for these companies. The companies can use the consulting, support, and training services provided by the HBSP personnel, and can contact other specialists and sponsors via our collaborator network.

Meilahti medical campus

The medical research and the teaching activities of the University of Helsinki have been allocated to the Meilahti and Ruskeasuo areas. Meilahti campus also includes the University of Helsinki Central Hospital buildings and the Biomedicum Helsinki research centre, providing facilities for approximately a thousand medical experts. 

Starting from the beginning of 2005, HBSP also provides a working environment for companies in the new Meilahti business building.
